The story of Seven Dot Productions is one such. For Sunny Jani, the founder of Seven Dot Productions, this journey did not begin with funding or a huge production setup; it started with a writer’s passion for telling good stories.

While Jani went back to Ahmedabad from Mumbai in 2019, there was uncertainty around his future. While exposure in Mumbai helped him see the industry of entertainment and filmmaking, going back to Ahmedabad would mean having to start everything afresh. However, despite this uncertainty, one thing that was certain was his passion for storytelling.
To begin with, all he had in mind was writing. However, it does not take much to realize that creative journeys are not always one-dimensional. With a chance to be the lead actor in two local ads, he came into contact with the creative people of Ahmedabad and began producing his own short films.
It was the momentum behind the creation of Seven Dot Productions in July 2019.
Early days had their share of difficulties typical for all entrepreneurs. It is hard to convince family members of the rightness of an unusual career choice, recruit an efficient team, find customers who will believe in a young company and give it a chance to produce good work under tight budget limitations. But the aforementioned obstacles laid down the foundation of the future company.
One of the turning points happened when Seven Dot Productions got its first job of making advertisements for real estate companies. The order was not financially profitable but it confirmed the direction chosen by the company, giving Jani a hope that it can succeed through professional storytelling.
With the passing of time, Seven Dot Productions has expanded its sphere of operations, getting from independent storytelling to creating real estate films, corporate films, brand campaigns, documentaries, product shoots, lifestyle video and social media videos. Now, based in Ahmedabad, the company provides complete production services, including development of concepts and scripts, shooting, editing, graphic design, dubbing and colour grading.
The differentiator for Seven Dot Productions amidst growing competition in the field is its focus on storytelling approach. Though technology and quality of production matter greatly, Seven Dot Productions strongly believes that good communication is possible only if one understands the people behind the brand and the emotion they wish to express.
This is evident from the belief that drives the company, which states “Capturing What Words Cannot.”
Seven Dot Productions does not view itself merely as a production partner but more as a creative partner that helps the brands to convert their concepts into visuals. The knowledge gained by Seven Dot Productions from working across several industries including real estate, FMCG, education, fashion, lifestyle, interiors, pharmaceuticals, and corporate communication has helped the company to find a creative balance.
