Mumbai, (Maharashtra), 7th September 2021: World renowned Indian Miniature artist Suvigya Sharma gets on-boarded as a member of the advisory board of art & culture for the Delphic Games. The logo of the Delphic Council of Maharashtra was recently unveiled at the Raj Bhavan in Mumbai by Shri. Bhagat Singh Koshyari, the Governor of Maharashtra. This eventful ceremony was graced by actor and classical dancer Hema Malini, actor and chairman of NSD, Paresh Rawal as the Guest of Honour. Industrialist Yash Birla and Avi Mittal, Actors Bhagyashree, Tejaswini Kolhapure and Shreyas Talpade and Architect Hafeez Contractor were also present at the logo unveiling ceremony.
Suvigya has been working closely with hon. Vice President Vekiah Naidu to promote the artisans of Maharashtra, thereby encouraging skill development through art and culture. “I am really honoured and privileged to be a part of the Delphic Council of India. Through this initiative, our aim is to create a platform for upcoming artists to showcase their talent through art, craft and performances and make the country proud on an international level”, says Suvigya.
Suvigya is the world’s most disciplined miniature artist, to have practiced Traditional fine miniature art under the lineage of his father the legendary Fine Artist Mr. R. K. Sharma, descending from the masters of Kishangarh Shaili Miniature paintings. He specializes in the 2000-year-old art form, incorporated in pichwais, Refined Tanjore’s, Piqua’s & Life-Like Portraits. The artist has been making news for creating some of the world’s most sophisticated and valuable personal collections, which are found in the residences of the most elite and respectable families globally including Honourable PM Shri Narendra Modi, the Ambanis, the Birlas, the Piramals and celebrities like Justin Bieber, Rani Mukherjee, Kangana Ranaut, Sachin Tendulkar and Sanjay Dutt.
The other honorary members of the advisory board of the Delphic Council of Maharashtra who were present at the event were Sahil Seth, IRS, President, Delphic Council of Maharashtra; Suresh Thomas, Vice President; Sulaiman Merchant, Director of Musical Arts & Sounds; Bosco Martis & Caesar Gonsalves, Members for the committee on dance and Rachna Puri, Executive Director for Delphic Clubs & Memberships.
